Massive yikes being called in danger close- avoid this game unless you can get it for free. Combined, we had probably played around 2000 hours, not including time spend researching strategies and watching tournaments to improve.
I'm serious, there are loot boxes in this game. Both of us had been huge fans of the series since the first game and regularly tested each others abilities. Ridiculously priced DLC, literally dozens (probably more than 70% in the game) of commanders are locked behind a paywall (the leader you pick for bonuses, commander specific units- similar to picking your race in Starcraft or which country you are in Red Alert), but worst of all. A new building can be created by the engineer, which contains all the commanders of a faction.

This Mod aims to give players access to all commanders during a match, without the need to choose 3 before a match starts. With all of the expansion and mission packs included, this collection offers an extensive gaming experience that is definitely worth the investment. Did your boys destroy an enemy tank? The derelict vehicle can now be used to take cover. I got all the commanders for 3 dollars when they were on sale for like a nickle to 15 cents per commander. Just wait for a steam sale, you dont need to buy them in game. Cant complain, in the in-game store that would have bought me a commander and a half, lel. I recommend it to everyone who likes strategy games.
A collection of thick trees and brush? Good cover. Yea, that is what I ended up doing as well. Less than 2 euros is definitely an awesome deal for Company of Heroes 2. There are some very interesting mechanics that set this game apart from others: there is context cover that your infantry can use on the map which is quite the innovation. It's a pretty basic strategy game model- build structures, train units, micro said units around the map until you win.

2018 REVIEW: I generally liked this game and was fortunate enough to pick it up for free when they were giving it away. This unmissable package regroups the original Company of Heroes 2 and all its expansions (The Western Front Armies, Ardennes Assault and The British Forces).
